[it wasn't easy, but Hal somehow found his way to the mess hall. which smelled absolutely horrible, but at least there were no remnants of blood in the Tuesday soup. he's ended up cowering in the corner with a cup of tea and a book he had on hand. in fact, he's been there for a while. in the hand that isn't holding his book, he's holding on to a domino and gripping it very tightly]

It's odd though, because the other vampires actually need blood to live. It's like food to them.

So when I tell them I don't want blood, they're going to be a little hard of hearing.

Possibly. But I think some of them will understand that no means no.

Yes, I've decided. The room will do fine. As long as there's a proper shower, there's no need for me to interact with others. All this ... information is making it clear that everything here is just a threat to me.
